Terrin comes to Kandi Elite after spending the last 9 years coaching high school volleyball.  She graduated from Central Minnesota Christian High School where she played Volleyball and Basketball and spent 8 seasons playing club volleyball before committing to play her collegiate career at Augustana University (formerly College) in Sioux Falls, SD.  At Augustana, Terrin played volleyball for four years and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Major in Business Administration and Marketing.  Terrin recognized the need for a club of this level when she moved back from college - and it has been a dream of hers to start one ever since.  She loves the game and is looking forward to working with each of the girls in the program to help them achieve their dream of playing at the next level.  Terrin believes that an athletes success starts with their willingness to work hard and do the stuff no one else wants to do in order to improve. Terrin lives in Willmar with her husband, Tom, and two children - Ellery and Jake.

BRENNEN GULDEN  Recruiting Coordinator   |   16-1 Head Coach    

Brennen has been involved with coaching since high school for several years, but got his start as the student assistant for Willmar Senior High School.  Brennen has been a coach with Kandi Elite for the past 3 seasons.  In 2015 - his team placed 5th at AAU Nationals.  Brennen worked extremely hard at helping each of the players on that team sign National Letters of Intent to play college volleyball. After graduating from high school, Brennen went on to play on the men's club volleyball team at St. Cloud State University where they placed 5th at Nationals, twice in his career.  Since college, Brennen has volunteered his time with several local high school programs as well as programs out of the Twin Cities.  Brennen enjoys mentoring players and helping them achieve their goals.  Brennen lives in Willmar and works as an Occupational Therapist at ACMC in Willmar, MN.
HANNAH SMITH |  17-1 Assistant Coach

Hannah is a former standout player for Willmar Senior High School.  She started for the varsity team for 4 years and currently holds the all-time dig record.  While in high school she also participated in basketball and JO Volleyball.  After graduating, Hannah continued her playing career at Ridgewater College in Willmar, MN where she was a 2-Time National Champion in 2010 and 2011.  In 2011, she was named the MVP of the NCJAA National Tournament and was a first-team NJCAA All-American.  Hannah brings a strong volleyball background to our program.  She relates well to the girls and brings a true competitive spirit to practices and matches. Hannah started coaching for KEVC in 2016. Hannah graduated from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ with a Bachelors of Science in Marketing. Hannah is employed at Best Vendors Management in Minneapolis, MN.
EMILY LIEN |  15-1 Head Coach

Emily joined the Kandi Elite staff in 2016 after coaching JO Volleyball for the past 7 years at various age levels.  She played high school volleyball at NL-S and attended St. Cloud State University where she graduated with a degree in Business and Finance.  Emily brings a wide knowledge of coaching many different age groups and levels.  Emily is excited to work with the girls each practice and see them improve and expand their knowledge of the game.  Emily lives in Spicer, MN with her husband, Devon and daughter, Quinn.  She works at Heritage Bank in Willmar, MN as the Digital Media Specialist.
MONICA MACDONALD |  16-1 Assistant Coach  | 12-1 Assistant Coach

This will be Monica's second year with KEVC.  She is a graduate of Buffalo Lake Hector High School where she was a three sport athlete.  Monica went on to play her collegiate volleyball career with St. Cloud State University and Southwest Minnesota State University as a setter.  She has coached with different clubs and high schools for the past 13 years.  Her desire is to enhance and develop our players' skills, to pass on her love of the game and to win.  She believes self discipline, great work ethic and a positive attitude are crucial for an athlete's success.  Monica lives in Willmar with her husband, Brendan, and daughter, Ella.  
TAYLOR BALKAN |  15-1 Assistant Coach  

Taylor is a former collegiate athlete from Sequim, Washington.  Taylor graduated from Sequim High School and was a setter for their volleyball program for four years.  After graduation, Taylor attended Clackamas Community College where she set for their volleyball program for two years.  She graduated with an Associates of Arts Degree and then transferred to Valley City State University in Valley City, ND to pursue a degree in education and continue playing volleyball.  Taylor will graduate from VCSU in May with a degree in Secondary Mathematics Education.  Taylor is very knowledgeable in the game of volleyball and will be a great asset to the 15's team.  She is excited to work with the girls and watch them compete and grow as players and people.  "Passion is a huge prerequiste to winning.  It makes you willing to jump through hoops, go through all the ups and downs and everything in between to reach your goal." ~ Kari Walsh Jennings
